Care guide

Linen fabric is durable, pleasing to the body and looks natural. That’s a hypoallergenic material. No pellets form on this fabric and thanks to the tubular structure, keeps the temperature well. By the way, that’s environmentally clean and natural material. Neither production nor recycling of linen products harms the environment. Material decomposition in vivo is a matter of months. It’s easy to take care of linen.

Linen washing can be done either hand washed or in a washing machine. Let us give you some tips:

  • It is better to wash linen at 30-40°C. Because of high temperatures, the fabric may shrink further and over time it may lead to a slight loss of color.
  • To ensure color protection, a tablespoon of vinegar will help us, which is added to the machine at the time of rinsing.
  • Separate linen products by colors. It‘s also better to wash them separately from other fabrics.
  • Do not overload the washing machine, it‘s absolutely better to put less things in for better washing.
  • Use gentle washing mode.
  • Use no more than 400-800 rpm for pressing. If your machine can set the pressing time, it should not be more than 3-5 minutes
  • For pleasant smelling and softening can be used a conditioner for delicate fabrics.
  • Do not use bleach.
  • Do not twist things, when you wash by hand, it’s better to squeeze them gently and let the extra water drain.

Using aggressive or chlorine-containing bleaching agents is prohibited. Also, make sure your detergent does not contain bleach.

Softening of linen products

The natural property of flax is getting softer and softer with every wash. If it seems to you that your new linen is not soft enough, it is quickly corrected. All you have to do is wash it several times and dry it in the dryer on low heat. Using the dryer in the first stages is mandatory, because it gives softness to the new product. Also, instead of detergent you can use table vinegar, just pour it into the container for detergent, it can’t harm either flax or your washing machine, so don’t be afraid of using it a lot. Remember, that the squeeze mustn’t exceed max 800 rpm.

Linen is considered a durable material, but it should be understood that its higher cost compared to cotton is due to its usefulness rather than the ability to serve for decades. It’s still a fabric and when you use it constantly without replacement, its service life, of course, decreases. For longer use of bed linen, we recommend using 3 sets at the same time.
